Lars Mikkelsen

Lars MikkelsenAt 27 years old He enrolled at the National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated in 1994. Alongside his role as the lead actor of The Killing and lead actor, he was also a part of two other internationally popular Danish dramas, Those Who Kill, and Borgen III. He also was in the episodes of BBC drama Sherlock as Charles Augustus Magnussen (blackmailer). In American television series House of Cards, his character was the President of Russia. He won an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his performance in the Danish TV drama Herrens Veje, which was broadcast in the UK in 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm. Mikkelsen can speak fluent English, Swedish, German, and Danish as well as his mother tongue. He has also picked up various accents. According to Mikkelsen's sources that he and his brother were taught English by studying Monty Python records.
