Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles for the movie Ray Undercover Brother and on the series on television The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a writer and actress working on stage, in theatre as well as television. The path to acting started with the theater. Her appearances then included various television series including independent films as well as mainstream films. She gained acclaim as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received critical acclaim but also many nods and awards.
