Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious hip-hop tracks that addressed racial identity and sexuality with the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to increasing her presence in Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop studies began when she was just a teenager. When she was in the college years, she remained focused on her studies and took up a degree in women's studies and journalism. For a brief period of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. Her focus shifted towards music after she completed her degree. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. On the album, there were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$1. The single that debuted was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her 2015 travel guide. Her resume included both the musician and author. The singer was seeking to further her career in acting. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors as well as Storks. In 2018 she was able to land her first major role in a number of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP In Fina We Trust.
